A recent installation in Sheffield has demonstrated how upgrading your ice production method can reclaim valuable space and streamline your operations. In this case, we helped a bakery regain much-needed room in their production area by replacing five smaller ice machines with a single, high-capacity sub-cooled industrial flake ice machine.

Space-Saving Solutions

Initially, we provided a free-of-charge demonstration ice machine on a tote frame, as the bakery had never used industrial flake ice before. The demonstration allowed them to see the benefits firsthand, and they were impressed with the ice quality! The customer quickly asked if we could supply a permanent machine with more capacity to replace their five smaller units. We arranged for the new machine to be installed, this then freed up valuable production space around the factory and using tote bins they could move ice across the factory much simpler. Instead of relying on multiple machines for each production line, the bakery now uses one central machine, improving efficiency, and freeing up power and water supplies that can be used elsewhere within the factory.
